My Messages to the World

Today I will share what the scriptures teach about homosexuality and sexual morality in general, because many people have asked me, after reading about my publication on transgenderism yesterday. The Torah is quite clear on the topic of homosexuality, and commands, “a man shall not lie down with a man as he does with a woman”. Therefore God forbids homosexuality. It is an act punishable with death, “they shall surely be put to death”. This is why in the past God destroyed Sodom, not just because they disregarded the poor, but also because they were homosexuals. They even tried to rape the male angels that entered the city to observe everything that they were doing. And once the angels confirmed that sin and homosexuality was rampant among them, they brought destruction upon the entire city. Only Lot and his family were quickly evacuated from the city and were saved. So why does God forbid homosexuality? Just as God gave his own creation commands to not steal from each other, not lie to each other, and not murder each other, so that we as his creation can all be in harmony with one another, he also gave his creation commands regarding our own bodies that were made in his representation, so that we can also be in harmony with our own bodies made in his image. And although our bodies are assigned to us, they do essentially belong to God, because he created them, which is why he has a right to issue commands with what we can do with our own bodies. We cannot do whatever want to others, nor to our own bodies also. And in creating our bodies, he gave us the ability to have sex, and through sex achieve tremendous pleasure and also more importantly, reproduction, which brings forth new humans into existence. And along with this high gift he gave humanity, God also established parameters for sex, according to his intention. Not that he wanted to stop us from having sex, but he wanted to regulate sex, to make it safe and harmonious and good and enjoyable for us. If a man is gifted a vehicle, which is a convenient and enjoyable way to reach distant places, he must also consider the laws of the road that come along with that gift, which are established to make the driving of vehicles safe and harmonious for everyone. A vehicle has a high cost, and can also cause much harm if improperly used. What happens if someone does not obey red lights or stop signs or drives too fast or does not have brake lights? Accidents and deaths happen. Everything that God commands is good and harmonious for us, and he wanted us to have sex and enjoy it, within the constraints of his parameters of course, because improper sex can also bring much harm. All violations of these parameters of sex are punishable with death. God first made the body of a man, then he made the body of woman. This is parameter one for sex, that it must be between a man and a woman. This is why when a man reaches an orgasm, he releases semen, which the scriptures call “seed”. This “seed” has sperm cells intended to impregnate the body of a woman. The body of a man is therefore the sexual counterpart of the body of a woman. The penis of a man goes inside the vagina of a woman. It is basic biology, and how God intended sex to happen. What typically happens when you violate parameter one of sex? Disease. This is why acts like bestiality, necrophilia, and homosexuality are also associated with many diseases, because these acts are against nature. When a man joins with an animal, the germs that are naturally found in the animal then enter the body of a man, bringing forth disease to the body of the man. These two are biologically incompatible. It is not good for our human body. The same with necrophilia, which although is a human body, it is in a state of death, which has germs associated with a dead body, that then enter the body of a person that joins with that body. These two are biologically incompatible. When a man joins with another man, the germs that are naturally found in the anus, which was made for defecation, enters the body of the man through the urethra of the penis or the throat of the mouth, bringing forth parasites and bacteria and fungi and viruses into areas of the body where these germs should not be. These two are biologically incompatible. Indeed both are humans, but they are not sexual counterparts. These acts are not good for our bodies, because it was not what God intended sexually for our bodies. Masturbation, however, does not bring forth disease, since there is no union between two biologically incompatible bodies. But it is still an act against nature, because “seed” that was intended to impregnate the body of a woman is wasted. This is why according to the Torah, God killed Onan, because when he had sex he prevented conception in the old fashioned way, by pulling out, and ejaculating his seed outside the vagina of the woman. Parameter two of sex is that conception cannot be prevented. A man must ejaculate inside the vagina of a woman, and not prevent contraception in any way. Therefore condoms, sterilizations, birth control pills, and ejaculating outside the vagina are forbidden. And masturbation itself is also forbidden. Not always will conception happen when a man ejaculates inside a woman, but that is not for us to determine, because that is determined by God. So that is why sex between an older couple that can no longer conceive is not sin, as long as sex is still performed without preventing conception. And then God is the one who determines if conception happens or not. Surprises have indeed happened with older couples in history, as we have seen in the Torah, with Sarah for example, who was very old when Isaac was born. Parameter three of sex is that it is only permitted in the context of marriage. Marriage was established by God in the beginning of creation, when he brought Eve to Adam to be his wife. This is why marriage is set-apart, because it was established by God. It is a special union between a man and a woman, that they will always as long as they are alive love each other and be together in good times and in bad times and only have sex with each other. It is a perfect and beautiful and harmonious union that also agrees with biology. But what happens when a man has sex with one woman, then another, then another, and children are also born to those women? Disease and fatherless children. So although indeed sex has correctly happened between a man and a woman, it has violated parameter three, which is sex outside of marriage. Promiscuity indeed brings diseases, because a man is constantly receiving the germs of a new person each time. And as everyone is having sex with everyone constantly, more and more diseases propagate among the population, which would otherwise be contained if everyone just had sex with their one lifetime spouse. And children without a father are children that suffer, because a child needs both a mother and also a father. A mother biologically feeds her babies with milk and raises them, and a father provides for the entire family. But when either parent is missing, then the family suffers. This is one reason God constrained sex under the context of marriage only, to not only give the man a lifetime helper and companion, but to also protect the children that will come from the natural sexual union of both. This is why everything that God commands is good and harmonious for us. But when we violate these parameters, then disease and disorder and unhappiness comes. God does not even need to punish us for violating his commands, we punish ourselves for the bad outcomes that come from our own actions that are contrary to the natural order God has established. Parameter four of sex is that once married, you cannot have sex with anyone else, which is adultery. When someone is unfaithful to their spouse, they have broken their promise, which in turn brings suffering and unhappiness and in many cases disease also. Parameter five of sex is that sex cannot be done with members of your own family, which is incest. Sex with sisters, parents, aunts, grandparents, and anyone above in the hierarchy or anyone married to these is forbidden. Even merely seeing the nakedness of these is forbidden. Marriage between cousins is, however, permitted, because these are not as closely related to the former. God established this parameter to segregate the relationship between closely related people as only familial. Incest brings conflict, because a sexual relationship conflicts with a familial relationship. A mother should not have sex with her son. This is a conflict. Parameter six of sex is that it cannot be done while a woman is menstruating. Blood is considered to be set-apart in the Torah, because in it exists the soul of any living creature, animals and humanity alike. So not only are we commanded to not eat blood, but also not have sex with a woman while her “fountain of blood” is active. The Torah commands that she purify herself for 7 days. Therefore a man must wait 7 days to have sex with her again. Violation of this parameter is punishable with death. And parameter seven is that sex cannot be done in days of purification. Menstruation has a purification time of 7 days. However, when a woman gives birth, which obviously also involves the release of blood, there is a purification time of 40 days if a boy is born, or 80 days if a girl is born. Sex is forbidden during this time also. And when a man ejaculates inside a woman, there is a purification time of 1 day. Once they bathe with water, they will be clean again in the evening, which is the next day in the Torah. And then they can have sex again. So sex is limited to one time per day. This is what the Torah teaches on sexuality.
