About Christian Gaviria Alvarez

A

I began reading Scripture at a young age, developing an early habit of study that would later shape both my beliefs and my approach to teaching. Raised by my mother Liliana as a single parent, I was cared for in part by Protestant nannies who introduced me to the Bible and taught me Scripture, which became foundational to my early study and eventual teaching. During this same period, I was also exposed to Catholic influences within my extended family throughout my early childhood. By elementary school, I was organizing informal Bible study with classmates, reflecting an early interest in teaching that continued to develop and mature over my lifetime. One classmate from that period, Luis Muigel, remains in contact with me to this day, and we still recall those early Bible studies; he still possesses the teen Bible I gave him during that time.

Through the course of around twenty-five years of study, this early engagement grew into a disciplined and serious pursuit of Scripture, with particular focus on eschatology and, in the last decade, engagement with the Torah. As my study increasingly turned toward the Torah and the Hebrew roots, and as I became more aware of the historical dispersion of the tribes of Israel throughout the world, I began to examine my own ancestry. Through a formal genealogical investigation conducted by professional genealogist Dana B. Sheldon of Above the Branches Genealogy, using the Genealogical Proof Standard, I discovered that my family lineage traces back to Sephardic Jewish communities that migrated from Spain to Colombia, with documented Sephardic roots associated with my family surnames, including Gaviria and Alvarez. All of my biblical studies led to the publication of written work through my websites, which went live in 2016 and have been continuously maintained and expanded with new material over the course of a decade. This work also led to the establishment and teaching of a Messianic community, and later to public teaching through recorded video on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok, where this material has received millions of views worldwide.

I was born in Hialeah, Florida, raised in Boca Raton, and lived much of my adult life in Fort Lauderdale. Growing up in Boca Raton, which has a significant Jewish population, I also had Jewish friends and was exposed early on to Jewish culture, terminology, and practice. My family is Colombian, and I spent two years living in Colombia as a child, completing my fourth and fifth grade education there, where I developed fluency in Spanish alongside English. All of my teaching and content is produced in both languages in order to reach a global audience as broadly as possible.

Professionally, I am a software developer by trade. I have worked in the technology sector for nearly two decades, including roles with organizations such as Facebook, IBM, Disney, AT&T, Pfizer, Etsy, Verizon, Visa, Bank of America, Mayo Clinic, Credit Karma, and others. I began my career as a contract developer and later founded, owned, and managed a software development business, hiring and leading a team of twenty software developers based in Medellín delivering work for Fortune 500 companies in the United States. My technical background has shaped how I think about systems, structure, and logic—skills that have influenced how I approach Scripture and the interpretation of Revelation.

I have not received formal university or seminary education in either software development or theology. What I have learned has come through sustained self-directed study and personal discipline. From a software development standpoint, this approach has enabled me to work with some of the largest organizations in the world. From a theological perspective, it has enabled me to develop a distinct and internally consistent interpretive framework that addresses what I regard as some of the most significant eschatological mysteries in Scripture, including the identification of paper money and modern fiat currency in relation to the mark of the beast, as well as the calculation of the present year from creation. My chronological work engages the same historical topic addressed by figures such as James Ussher; however, rather than relying on traditional Ussher-era assumptions, I correlate the years of creation with the Torah Yovel (Jubilee) cycles to derive a more precise calculation.

My approach to the study of Scripture is grounded in the use of interlinear biblical texts and a close examination of the original Hebrew and Greek, with the goal of understanding the meaning of the text as conveyed in its original languages. This method emphasizes word usage and contextual meaning as primary tools for interpretation, with resources such as Strong’s Concordance serving as a useful aid in tracing original word meanings and usage across Scripture. In my study of the Torah, I also reference the Talmud and classical rabbinic commentaries as historical and interpretive resources from which understanding may be derived, drawing from Jewish thought and tradition; however, I do not regard the Talmud as the law of Elohim (God) in the same sense as the Torah itself. In addition, I have read a range of apocryphal and extra-canonical writings, which can augment understanding of the historical and cultural context of Scripture, though such works must be approached with care, as they exist outside the recognized canon of Scripture.

In my study of the 360-day lunar calendar associated with the Torah, I conducted extensive historical and comparative research, including analysis of publicly available images of ancient Babylonian astronomical tablets housed in the British Museum. These include Enuma Anu Enlil BM 36905 and BM 17175+17284, which preserve early observations related to equinoxes and ancient calendrical systems, including the use of a 360-day year. Through this research, I concluded that the solar year transitioned from a 360-day structure to a 365¼-day structure in the eighth century BC, a change I associate with the shadow miracle recorded in the book of Isaiah. As part of this study, I also engaged selected work by Dr. Immanuel Velikovsky concerning ancient calendrical changes and early calendar systems. The results of this research are presented in my study titled The Original 360 Day Lunar Calendar and the Appointed Times of the Torah and Their Fulfillment in Yeshua, published on my website, which examines the original calendrical framework of the Torah and explores how and why it differs from the later Jewish Babylonian calendar.

In my study of eschatology, particularly concerning the concept of the six-thousand-year framework, I have also consulted a range of early Jewish and extra-canonical sources that address this chronology. These include the Epistle of Barnabas, which contains early interpretive material related to the six-thousand-year understanding of history, as well as classical Jewish sources such as the commentary of Rabbi Rashi, the Midrash Pirkei De-Rabbi Eliezer, and the Babylonian Talmud, Avodah Zarah 9a. These texts are referenced as historical and interpretive witnesses that help illuminate how such chronological concepts were understood within Jewish and early religious thought, while remaining subordinate to the Torah itself as the primary authority.

In my study of the events surrounding the destruction of the Second Temple, the writings of Flavius Josephus—particularly The Wars of the Jews—have also been invaluable in understanding the historical context of the abomination of desolation referenced in Daniel chapter 9. Josephus’s firsthand historical account of the Roman siege of Jerusalem, the desecration of the Temple, and the events leading up to its destruction provides critical historical detail that helps situate the prophetic text within its first-century fulfillment framework.

In 2018, I relocated to Colombia. In 2021, I acquired a property in the city of Envigado and, beginning in 2022, reconstructed it into a three-story house designed for study, teaching, communal gathering, and as my home. This house contains a dedicated library holding multiple religious collections, including complete collections of both the Babylonian and Jerusalem Talmuds, as well as a large handwritten Torah scroll brought from Jerusalem and housed within a turquoise crystal encasing. The house was designed to be energy-independent through a solar power system and is surrounded by existing fruit trees to support food sustainability.

The house includes a dedicated studio for the production of teaching content. Through the use of modern tools, including AI-assisted visual generation, I have been able to visualize biblical concepts that were previously difficult to represent, incorporating these visualizations into my teaching videos produced from the studio. With the assistance of these tools, I have also produced music and music videos using lyrics I wrote. These works include the music video single Yeshua Regresa en el Año 6.000 (Spanish release) and Yeshua Returns in the Year 6,000 (English release), along with the instrumental album Tzion, which consists of thirteen compositions. All of these musical compositions were released in 2025 and are distributed through platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Vevo.

The house hosts instruction, gatherings commemorating the appointed times and feasts outlined in the Torah, and provides lodging for believers from around the world who seek extended periods of learning within the community. It serves as the central base of the community I lead, Kehillah Torah Yeshua, established in 2024. It was from this setting that much of the work reflected in this book was written.

All of the work described above is self-funded through the profits of my software development business. I do not solicit or accept monetary donations, nor do I collect money from teaching videos or receive royalties from music releases. All teaching content, music, and visual material is released freely, without charge. Voluntary non-monetary donations, including food donations, to support the house and the community are accepted. The music and this book are released through official distribution channels solely to allow for broader global access; however, although I am entitled to receive royalties from these releases, I have chosen not to accept them, based on my convictions regarding the mark of the beast and my belief that the gospel should not be commercialized for profit. This book is likewise made available in digital PDF format at no cost, reflecting my commitment to offering the information contained in this work freely to the world.
